Visit The Alamo in San Antonio
Many people visiting the Riverwalk also visit the Alamo in San Antonio. It is less than a block away from many areas on the river and a must see when visiting San Antonio. The Shrine of Texas is a beautiful sight be it daytime or night. You can visit The Alamo grounds at any time during their operating hours however to enter the Church requires a time based reservation. Reservations are free and can be done at their Alamo Visitor Center when you arrive or in advance at the link below. We highly recommend making a reservation to visit the Church in advance of your arrival there.

Their hours of operations are:
The Alamo grounds: 9am to 5:30pm
The Alamo gift shop: 10am to 5:30pm
The Church: 9am to 4:00pm with a free timed entry ticket
To limit the amount of people that are in the Alamo Church at anyone time they are now requiring visitors to make a reservation. There is no charge to visit or for the reservation. The link to make a reservation to visit the Alamo is below.
